Researchers and students alike are racing to adapt to the current explosive acceleration of new methodsfor the study of multimodal communication. This talk will sketch some of the far frontiers for gathering, wrangling,tagging, and analyzing vast landscapes of data, and present opportunities for bringing those new methods intoresearch and teaching, with emphasis on AI copilots for research using big data. Ample time will be left topursue the interests of members of the audience.
MULTIDATA
MULTIDATA is an online platform for the study of multimodal communication. We offer an AI-based pipeline to analyze speech and gesture data from videos, as well as other resources for developing audiovisual collections and exploiting them for education, research, and professional applications. The MULTIDATA team is constantly integrating the most relevant open-source tools, or developing tools of our own.
