Recently, we have seen how generative AI, in particular large language models (LLMs), has revolutionized how we solve complex tasks, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. As the focus shifts from static models to dynamic AI agents, we enter a new phase of automation. In this talk, I will explore the differences between LLMs and AI agents, explaining what sets agents apart as decision-making entities capable of perceiving, reasoning, and acting in their environments.The talk will touch on real-world examples, and agentic workflows, providing very practical insights into working with AI agents.

MULTIDATA is an online platform for the study of multimodal communication. We offer an AI-based pipeline to analyze speech and gesture data from videos, as well as other resources for developing audiovisual collections and exploiting them for education, research, and professional applications. The MULTIDATA team is constantly integrating the most relevant open-source tools, or developing tools of our own.
